Garlic May Be The Answer to UTI

Urinary tract infections, also called UTI, are the 2nd most common infectious disease seen in primary care. Unfortunately, many of the strains of UTI are resistant to antibiotics. Well a recent study published in the Pertanika Journal of Tropical Agricultural Science has shown that garlic may be the answer to curing UTI. Garlic has sulfur compounds that have made it a common remedy for centuries all over the world. In this study, they found that 82% of the antibiotic resistant strains of UTI were not resistant to the compounds found in garlic extract.
